When: Wednesday, August 1 – Saturday, August 4
Where: Red Springs Mission Camp, Lumberton, NC
What: The purpose of Red Springs Mission Camp is to provide affordable short term mission options. You will be helping with rebuilding lives that were devastated by Hurricane Matthew. We will be doing construction on homes which include light construction, handyman projects, painting and yard work. Ten (10) ladies will have the opportunity to work in a soup kitchen.
We will work together during the day, gather in the evening for supper, fellowship, singing and games. Yes, there is air conditioning and showers ! Three (3) meals will be provided each day.
Accommodations: Red Springs is 2 hours and 20 minutes from the church. We will carpool. You are welcome to drive your own car, there is parking on site. There are also RV campsites available, but you must reserve them ahead of time. There are 7 dorm rooms with bunk beds inside (96 beds). There are 2 large trailers outside with 80 beds.
Sign- ups begin March 4th, ending on April 11th in the church foyer. You may pay by check or credit card. Payment has to be made by April 11th. The total cost is $83 a person, this includes lodging, meals, supplemental insurance, a donation for building supplies and a t’shirt. Funds are available if you need assistance, please see Pam in the church office.
