Carolinas Cornerstone Church

Carolinas Cornerstone believes that the church is a hospital. Everyone can find a path to Salvation through Jesus and we believe this is especially true for the wounded, the lost and the hurting. Every single person, through Jesus Christ, can be forgiven of sin. We can be brought back into fellowship with God, and filled with God’s Spirit for newness of life.
Simply stated, the definition of salvation is:
sal·va·tion/salˈvāSHən/Noun
1. Deliverance from sin and its consequences.
Only God can remove sin and deliver us from sin’s consequences.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. -John 14:6 (NIV)
Through His death on the cross and His resurrection, we are saved through Jesus Christ (John 3:17) . Through this selfless act we are granted forgiveness of sins, past, present and future; because we are covered by the blood Jesus shed for us. (Romans 5:10; Ephesians 1:7). Salvation is a gift given because God loves us and showers us with favor, even during those times we least deserve it. We don’t have to ask for it, we can’t earn it. He gives it to us! (That is what is meant by grace.)
He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time -2 Timothy 1:9 (NIV)
He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit - Titus 3:5 (NIV)
Scripture makes it very clear that we are undeserving of this gift;
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— Ephesians 2: 8
But God wants us to be saved, and through faith in Jesus Christ, and the Grace granted by God, we are saved.
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.-Acts 4:12
How do we get there?
To have faith we must hear the gospel-the good news of Jesus (Ephesians 1:13).
We must believe and trust fully in the Lord. (Romans 1:16)
We must have a change in our spirit, in the very fiber of our being. We must show this change in our actions, our works, AND the way we live our new Godly life in this modern, ungodly world. (Romans 12:2, Eph 2:10)
God's gift is lost on those who reject Christ, and who turn away from His gift through a life of sin. But He is calling each and every one of us to have a close and personal relationship with Him.
Are you listening? Do you believe? Is your heart ready to accept the things of God?
