What do you do when the road you are traveling has a roadblock?  You have to turn back and find a way around the roadblock.  There are roadblocks in life that stop us in our pursuit of happiness, wholeness and spiritual maturity.  To get around these you also have to turn back to find your way around them.  Turning back in these roadblocks of life is defined in Isaiah 30: 15 CEV, “I will keep you safe if you turn back to me and calm down.  I will make you strong if you quietly trust me.”
So in getting around the roadblocks of life one must turn back to God and rest in Him; that is relax in God’s presence, get comfortable there.  Then in that resting trust, be quiet and still before God asking for the wisdom and guidance that you need.  One listens to and hears God through his own inner voice.  You may question this, but how else can you hear God‘s voice for yourself?  There is nothing else!
