Here's a list of some ways to get involved serving with us at Carolinas Cornerstone as we seek to fulfill the great commission.

Audio / Visual Production Team
There are many ways for you to lend a hand to the a/v ministry.  Experience is helpful but not necessary.  We will train you.  For more information simply stop by A/V booth after service, or contact Fred at

Children's Ministry Team
Children were important to Jesus, and they're important to us too. This is a growing ministry with lots of opportunity to get involved... teaching, leading in song, drama, or holding one of the babies just to name a few... we're particularly looking for some help on Sunday morning in classes, and in the nursery!  Please contact Lindsey Phillips at  with any questions or interest.

Beautification Team: The church's beautification team is asking for more volunteers who are able to give 2 hours on an occasional Saturday to clean and help keep our church  beautiful and a facility to be proud of.  As of now, we have 7 teams of 3 to 4 people that clean on a rotating schedule, approximately once every 7 weeks.  If we can accrue a few more helping hands, and add more teams, that span between cleanings would expand.
Please send me a note if you're able to join us, and I will process the schedule to include you. Nancy Crawford at

Cards for Encouragement: Create hand made cards or write in store bought ones, this ministry sends cards to shut ins, the sick, and anyone who is in need of an encouraging word. If you can donate postage for this important ministry, or if you'd like to join please contact Frances Duerr for more info

Communications Team
Volunteer graphic designers, writers, artists, and photographers, are a great asset in the success of communication. There are many areas of communication that we would like to strengthen throughout our church. We have big vision to be nice and loud with our communication both inside and out. We're praying for God to bring together those who would be a part of making it possible.  If you are interested in helping in any of these areas, please contact Kelly at

Grounds Committee
Shannon Evans is leading this team.  Please contact him, if you are interested in helping.  This team will help keep our church's property groomed on a weekly basis (as needed during the growing months)

Items included in this duty are:

  • mowing w/ a self-propelled mower
  • mowing w/ a riding mower
  • weed eating
  • leaf/grass blowing

Helping Hands
Helping Hands Ministry is a ministry which helps members/visitors of our church when they have a need. Needs can vary from needing a meal for a family after a death, or birth of a newborn baby or even  surgery, to, helping a single mom move. We need helping hands within our body to volunteer their time and talents to brothers and sisters in need. Please contact Nancy Crawford at if you are interested in this ministry. We are currently looking for an organized individual to lead this ministry! Could that be YOU?

Hospitality Team
We do all we can as a church to create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere that engages people and points them to Jesus. Anything from passing out bulletins, helping new families navigate our church, setting up the coffee, or anything you may think of to create an atmosphere for community to take place. We are currently trying to build a team that can help stand at the different counters on Sunday morning, to help give people information about upcoming events, and ministries. If you are interested in being a part of the hospitality team, please contact Celia at

Men's Ministry
The Men’s ministry at Carolinas Cornerstone exists to unite and equip men to pursue life with God. Through teaching, monthly events, and small groups men are able to see how to be a “Difference Maker” in the world around them. Please contact Dave Kunde at if you are interested in this ministry.

Prayer / Follow Up Team
We are always looking for individuals who are walking strong with Jesus and are gifted in ministering to others through prayer to help minister to others during service.  This also includes being a part of a follow-up team, where we can contact those who give their life to the Lord during a church service. If you are interested in helping with this team, please contact Pastor Barry Yates  at

Prison Ministry (York County)
Carolina Cornerstone's Prison Ministries serves those affected by incarceration in our community. Utilizing Christian values, we seek to break the cycle of crime and punishment. We could use your help via prayer, visits and witnessing.  We meet monthly and on special occasions to provide desserts, praise music and Gods Word. Please contact George Franklin at if you are interested in this ministry.

Security
The security team has a vital role in helping during church services and special events. Whether security is helping on a Sunday morning, or a Friday night concert, they have the role of making sure that the people present are safe, and that the church is secure. Normal duties are to check on the kids who are in children’s ministry, and walk the parking lot. If you are interested in being a part of the security team, please contact us at
Our Jr. High and High School ministries are an exciting place to serve.  From weekly youth meetings on Wednesday nights, to monthly events and camps, new leaders are always welcome.  If you are interested in being a part of the student ministries team, please contact Dave Kunde (HS) at , or Mike, Chris or Katie (JH) at

Ushers /Greeters
Ushers serve in many ways around the church and play a big role in keeping things moving for the service. Cleaning up before hand, setting up communion, taking offering, and helping people with seating just to name a few. If you are interested in being a church usher, please contact Doug Williamson at

Visitation Team/CD Outreach
The visitation team visits hospitals, and friends at home. CC likes to keep in touch with our families and provide copies of the worship folders, sermon notes, and cds of the sermons when you can't make it to worship. If you are in need of this service, or want to be visited by one of this team, please contact the Pastor  or the church office. Our current visitation team consists of: Jim Johnson, Steve Hardy, Jason Shope, Nancy Harrington. If you'd like to join the team please let us know!

Did you know?Carolinas Cornerstone has a CD outreach program handled by Betty Bailey! We currently mail a copy of the sermon notes, worship folder and recent sermons on cd to our Friends at Home. If you would like to add someone to this list, or would like to get a copy of the cd for yourself on a regular basis, please contact Pam in the office and she'll get you on the list.

Women's Ministry - Live the Light
Our Women's Ministry compliments the over-all ministry of the church, and meets the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of Women at Carolinas Cornerstone and within our community.  This ministry is designed to encourage women to grow their faith in Christ, to develop and strengthen intimate relationships with other women, and to equip believers to serve in ministry and draw lost women closer to Christ. Please contact Cindy Hovis at if you are interested in this ministry.

Worship  & Art Team
It's our prayer that God would draw His people to Himself and any way that we get to be a part of that process is a huge blessing. We echo with John the Baptist "He must increase and we must decrease" so that we, as God's children might feel free to get wrapped up in the loving arms of our Father.

There are many opportunities to get involved in the worship ministry here at Carolinas Cornerstone, from running a camera to playing guitar on stage. If you feel called to take part in what God is doing at Carolinas Cornerstone in this area please contact Fred Stewart at
