What's a Spark Group?

Spark groups are intimate groups of 4-6 people who meet once a week for the purpose of becoming stronger Christians who learn the tools needed to disciple others.

What does Discipleship mean??

We hear this word often in church, but what does it really mean?

Most people think that the word discipleship only applies to pastors, church leaders and the super-Christian. Discipleship is not a twelve-step program or an optional course. It’s not intended for a select few.

You might be surprised to find that Jesus defines discipleship rather specifically. Jesus’ command to disciple others was for all of his followers.

Jesus said… “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”. Matthew 28:19-20

Discipleship is the opportunity to pour into others, training them in the Word and ministry, so that they can disciple others as they grow in their faith. There’s an old hymn that says… “It only takes a SPARK to get a fire going…”

With our new Spark discipleship groups, we hope to do just that.

These discipleship groups are small, intimate groups of women or men, who not only do life together but desire a deeper knowledge of God’s Word in order to better share His gospel with others.

Our hope is to become disciples that make disciples that make disciples.
