Church Membership

The Great Commission

"Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”" Matthew 28:16-20  (NIV)

Membership Commitment

Have you been visiting CC and like what you see? Are you looking to join a church that looks after its members and tries to treat each other with love and respect? A church that focuses on the Great Commission? Then you’ve come to the right place!

There are several ways you can join the Christian faith and become a member of Carolinas Cornerstone church too.

Perhaps the most important way to come to Jesus Christ is through Baptism. To read more about being baptized at CC, please click the drop down under Get Connected tab.

A second way to join is through a personal statement. Sometimes the Holy Spirit moves us to make a public statement to the world that we love God and to show Jesus is living fully in our hearts. When the Pastor calls for anyone to come down front during the end of the service, and you feel moved to do so, this falls under making a statement.  You are showing everyone you have accepted the Lord as your savior. (This is a great way for Christians who have not attended in a while to reconnect to their faith!)

A third way to ask for membership in the church is for people who are already connected Christians, and want to move their membership from a prior church. We ask that you let us know the name and if you have it, the address of the church, and we will contact them to request the membership move.

Church Membership is available for anyone 6 yrs old and up who has accepted Christ as their personal Savior and Lord, and who has an understanding of what it means to be a Christian.

No matter how you wish to join, the first step is to fill out the information form below and the Pastor will get in touch with you to set up a meeting.

Information is kept confidential but please be aware you will be added to the church directory upon membership completion.

Information Form located HERE.

Baptism by Immersion

In the Book of Romans baptism by immersion is a representation of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. When we are baptized we are ‘buried’ by being submerged in the water, and we are ‘resurrected’ when we rise up out of the water to begin our new Christian lives. Our old identity as a sinner is gone, and we rise with a new identity in Christ. As Pastor Barry has said "Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision for Christ."

Baptism is an important way of professing our faith in Christ. Typically, adults, youth, or older children who understand the commitment of faith to Christ and wish to respond to God’s call (usually 5+  yrs) are acceptable candidates for baptism. Pastor Barry will meet with the younger Baptismal candidates to determine their readiness.

Baptisms are usually held 3 times a year. Email the church to find out when the next date is, or use the RSVP form below to register. (

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20(NLT)

Child Dedication

We do not baptize children under the age of 5. We dedicate them to the Lord in a public church service where the parents and the members of the church are called upon to live exemplary lives before children, and to teach them the ways of the Lord.
Christian parents are making a promise to raise their child/children in a way that will give glory to God, to include teaching them to pray, teaching them bible stories, and about mission work (what that means to young people), and what it means to be a young Christian. Once a child is old enough to understand what it means to be a Christian, then the child can make the decision to be baptized and to continue to follow Jesus as they grow in their faith. Typically we have two Dedications a year, once on Mother’s Day and again near Christmas.

Deadline to register is midnight, the Wednesday before the event, in order for your child to be included in the program memento.

Please arrive at least 15 mins prior to service start time.

Carolinas Cornerstone believes that the church is a hospital. Everyone can find a path to Salvation through Jesus and we believe this is especially true for the wounded, the lost and the hurting. Every single person, through Jesus Christ, can be forgiven of sin. We can be brought back into fellowship with God, and filled with God’s Spirit for newness of life.

Simply stated, the definition of salvation is:
1. Deliverance from sin and its consequences.

Only God can remove sin and deliver us from sin’s consequences.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. -John 14:6 (NIV)

Through His death on the cross and His resurrection, we are saved through Jesus Christ (John 3:17) . Through this selfless act we are granted forgiveness of sins, past, present and future; because we are covered by the blood Jesus shed for us. (Romans 5:10Ephesians 1:7).   Salvation is a gift given because God loves us and showers us with favor, even during those times we least deserve it. We don’t have to ask for it, we can’t earn it. He gives it to us! (That is what is meant by grace.)

He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time  -2 Timothy 1:9 (NIV)

He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit - Titus 3:5 (NIV)

Scripture makes it very clear that we are undeserving of this gift;

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— Ephesians 2: 8

But God wants us to be saved, and through faith in Jesus Christ, and the Grace granted by God, we are saved.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.-Acts 4:12

How do we get there?

To have faith we must hear the gospel-the good news of Jesus (Ephesians 1:13).

We must believe and trust fully in the Lord. (Romans 1:16)

We must have a change in our spirit, in the very fiber of our being. We must show this change in our actions, our works, AND the way we live our new Godly life in this modern, ungodly world. (Romans 12:2Eph 2:10)

God's gift is lost on those who reject Christ, and who turn away from His gift through a life of sin.  But He is calling each and every one of us to have a close and personal relationship with Him.

Are you listening? Do you believe? Is your heart ready to accept the things of God?
