I was thinking this week as I was looking through some of the stories of Jesus and the lives that He touched. If you could spend one hour with someone within this world, anyone in the world, and it was guaranteed that you could spend that hour with them, what name would you write down?

Pain in life is inevitable. There is no such thing as a pain-free life. Everyone experiences some kind of pain. A wide variety of painful experiences – such as rejection, shattered dreams, betrayal, abuse, illness, job loss, and the deaths of loved ones – can cling to your soul, leaving hurt feelings there. If your pain remains unresolved, it will disrupt your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health as you carry it around with you every day.
I want to invite you this coming Sunday for a two-part message on the letter “P” in the word help. The letter “P” represents PAIN.
In John 13:34 Jesus said, “I’m giving you a new commandment, love each other in the same way that I have loved you.” (GWT) Jesus says the way that I have modeled for you, the way that I have loved you, I want you to pass that on to other people. I am the model, and the way that I love you is the way I want you to love other people. John 13:15: “I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.” (GWT)
