This coming Sunday we are starting a new sermon series called “Rebuild Together.” We are looking at a situation in the Bible that looked hopeless. There was a man named Nehemiah who God called to lead the people to rebuild the wall around the city of Jerusalem. The people there were defenseless. They were vulnerable to attack and harassment because they had no protection. They were discouraged and defeated. The book of Nehemiah is a personal journal from a man who stepped out and led his people in a rebuilding process. But Nehemiah made himself available for the mission. He refused the status quo. He determined under God that he would have influence in the broken condition of his world.
Christian leadership is more than just telling people what to do or holding a position of authority—it is about reflecting the heart and character of Christ in everything we do. Make Every Day Count!
