I was thinking this week as I was looking through some of the stories of Jesus and the lives that He touched. If you could spend one hour with someone within this world, anyone in the world, and it was guaranteed that you could spend that hour with them, what name would you write down? We are going to look at people who had the privilege of spending an hour, a little more, sometimes a lot less, in today’s case a lot less, with Jesus Christ. And people who saw their lives changed.
The truth of the matter is we are all hurting. I hurt, you hurt, everyone in this room hurts in one way or the other. It may be a physical hurt. It may be an emotional hurt. It may be a hurt that has to do with relationships or with finances. We all face hurt. The encouraging news today is God wants to help us through our hurts. God wants to heal our hurts. In fact, the sermon in a sentence is, God does not always change our circumstances. But, He always wants to heal our hurts. He does not always change our circumstances. He does not always take the physical thing that we are facing away. He does not always change our finances overnight. He does not always change our circumstances. But He can, and will always, heal our inner hurts that come into our lives. We are going to see how He does it in our lives today. We all need help! Make Every Day Count!
