Can I ask you a question, “How do you see others?” What is the right way to look at a person? As I always say, look to God’s Word to find the answer. Jesus shows us how to see others. “When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.” (Mark 6:34 NIV) How does God see your spouse? Valuable. Acceptable. Lovable. Forgivable. Is that the way you see your spouse?
How about the stranger at the grocery store? The person who cut you off in traffic? The beggar on the street? What do you see when you look at other people? Do you see them as irritations or burdens? What about the people you work with? Do you see them as enemies? Competition? Or do you see them the way God sees them? All people matter to God. It does not matter who they are, what they have done, or even what they believe. Christ died for them. Jesus loves them. God has a plan for every person, and He wants them to have a relationship with him. I want to share with you how Carolinas Cornerstone looks at others. You are welcome here if you are just browsing, just woke up, or just got out of jail. We welcome soccer moms, NASCAR dads, starving artists, tree-huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians, and junk-food eaters. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you are having problems or you are down in the dumps or if you do not like organized religion. If you blew all of your offering money last night partying, you are welcome here. We welcome those who are: inked, pierced, or both. We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down your throat as a kid or got lost in traffic and wound up here by mistake. We welcome seekers, doubters, and any other person. ALL are welcome at Carolinas Cornerstone. Make Every Day Count!
