You Have a Mission...

​God created you to help others. Regardless of your job or career, you are called to full-time Christian service. A “non-serving Christian” is a contradiction in terms. The Bible says, “He saved us and called us to be his own people, not because of what we have done, but because of his own purpose” (2 Timothy 1:9 GNT). Jesus came to earth with a mission. God has a mission for your life, too.

Did you know that the Bible says every Christian should help others? God has given you unique talents and abilities to benefit others, and he has gifted others with talents and abilities to benefit you. If you do not share your talents with those around you, they will be cheated. If they do not share their talents with you, you will miss out.

Everything in society says, “It is all about me.” Yet nothing could be further from the truth! God is calling you to use your gifts to help others.

Christianity is not simply “Jesus and me.” For example, the apostle Paul wrote, “Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2 NIV). By connecting us to Himself, the Lord Jesus connects us to each other. And it is a good thing. You cannot live the Christian life alone, all by yourself, as an isolated individual. You need other Christians. We are Better together!
